Boys to Men programme
In the past year, Stratford College introduced a Boys to Men (BTM) programme working specifically with male students on issues relating to masculinity and the transition from boy to man. It is designed and delivered by Michael Kelly along with assistance from the teaching staff. Read more.

First Years present their App Designs for AWS GetIT/Junior Achievement competition
First Year Computer Studies students presented their App Design ideas to our AWS GetIT (Amazon Web Services) Ambassador - Simon - over two classes at the end of March. Simon and Mr Eppel judged the App design ideas and presentations to choose one team to represent Stratford in the AWS GetIT/Junior Achievement competition. It was very exciting! The standard of presentations and design ideas was very high.

Centennial Award Classical Association of Ireland
Congratulations to Hazel Goddard (2023), who will be presented with the Centennial Award for being one of four who achieved the highest marks in Classical Studies in the Leaving Certificate Examination 2023. Congratulations also to her Classical Studies teacher Ms Delia Donohoe.
Stratford celebrates Francophone Week
Stratford College had a great time celebrating Francophone week from 18th - 22nd March. In French lessons we learned about the great number of countries around the world where French is spoken, and throughout the week students created posters to celebrate these countries.
Stratford's Student Council visits The High School Student Council
On Thursday the 21st of March, Stratford’s Student Council headed down to The High School to discuss various topics that affect students. After we walked down, we were greeted with a small tour of their gardens and their bee hives. We also saw their 'Bug Motel' and 'Sustainability Garden' and these inspired some future project ideas for Green Schools. After this, we were invited to their library to have a sit-down chat.

Poetry Salon 2024: Curated by The English Department
Thursday, 21st March at lunchtime in the English room and it was brimming with students reciting their own poetry at the Poetry Salon 2024! The English Department curated the body of poetry written by students. Special thanks to our Guest Adjudicator and award winning novelist, Ms. Rachel Donohue.

TY's have an amazing trip to Berlin
This month, the Fourth Years had an amazing TY trip to Berlin! On the morning of the 11th of March, we arrived at Dublin Airport at the early hour of 3 AM and embarked on a 2-hour plane ride to Berlin Airport.
